Chemo Side Effect Tracker · Effective October 9, 2026
Who we are
Chemo Side Effect Tracker ("the app") is made by Shah Health Media LLC ("we"). Contact: [email protected].
What the app stores, and where
The app stores the information you enter only on your iPhone. That includes your treatment (regimen and cycle dates), symptom check-ins and grades, temperature, weight, blood pressure, notes, and the optional first name you give for the greeting. We do not operate any server that receives this information, and we cannot see it.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking, and it does not use third-party advertising or analytics tools. If you have chosen in your iPhone settings to share crash reports with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash information. That is controlled by Apple and by you.
Optional features
Apple Health
If you connect Apple Health, the app can save the symptoms, temperature, weight, and blood pressure you log to Apple Health, and read your sleep, steps, exercise minutes, resting heart rate, Apple Watch sleeping wrist temperature, weight, body fat, blood pressure, and temperature. This includes readings that other devices, such as Withings scales and blood pressure cuffs, have added to Apple Health. Health data is used only to show information to you inside the app. It is never used for advertising, never sold, never shared with third parties, and never stored outside your iPhone and Apple Health. You can change or remove access at any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps.
Calendar
If you choose, the app adds your expected treatment dates to a "Chemo Tracker" calendar on your iPhone. It only creates and updates its own events.
Siri and Shortcuts
If you use Siri with the app, Apple processes your request under Apple's privacy policy. The app receives only what you said to log, and shows it to you to review before anything is saved.
Describe how you feel
When you describe your symptoms in your own words, the app reads them on your iPhone, using Apple's on-device intelligence where available or built-in rules. Your words are not sent to us or to any AI service.
Sharing with your care team
When you tap Share, the app creates a summary (PDF or text) and opens your iPhone's share options. It goes only to the person, app, or patient portal you choose. The "Connect to my medical record" feature creates a message for you to send to your clinic; the app does not send anything itself.
Deleting your information
Go to Settings → Your data → Delete all my data, or delete the app. Data you saved to Apple Health or shared with others stays there and is managed in those places.
Children
The app is intended for adults receiving cancer treatment and their caregivers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Not medical advice
The app records and summarizes what you report. It does not diagnose, give medical advice, or recommend changes to treatment or doses. Estimated grades are for your care team to review and confirm.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Because we don't collect your information, changes will never apply to information we hold about you.
